Kolja Leiser
Head of Foundations
„Seeing change as an opportunity – I enjoy personally and strategically supporting our clients in using their wealth with impact and foresight.“
KOLJA’S BACKGROUND
Kolja Leiser supports foundations, non-profit organizations, and private wealth owners at Globalance in developing forward-looking wealth strategies. He studied Business and Cultural Area Studies with a focus on Latin America at the University of Passau, graduating with a degree in International Cultural and Business Studies (Dipl.-Kulturwirt).
Before joining Globalance, Kolja headed the Swiss branch of the Dutch impact investor Oikocredit, where he and his team managed relationships with 3,000 private and institutional investors. In the non-profit sector, Kolja worked for two foundations active in development cooperation: he led the country office of Swisscontact in Peru and, at the bioRe Foundation, coordinated relationships with other foundations and major donors for projects along the cotton value chain.
During his time in management consulting, Kolja advised companies on how to respond strategically to investor inquiries about sustainability and ESG topics – and how to turn them into opportunities for positioning and further development. As Head of Corporate Responsibility at Zürcher Kantonalbank, he coordinated sustainability management across the bank and partnerships with civil society organizations.
Kolja is married and the father of a son. In his free time, he can often be found on his road bike exploring the roads and passes of the Alps.
«I have experienced the complexity of our world from many different perspectives. When we stay oriented, complexity becomes manageable and change can be seen as an opportunity. We especially need orientation when dealing with money – that’s why I enjoy personally and strategically supporting our clients in using their wealth with impact and foresight.»
